Clostridium Difficile (C. Diff) colitis is associated with previous antibiotic use especially in the elderly population. C. Diff colitis associated diarrhea can be a serious condition with high mortality rates, especially in elderly, frail and immuno- compromised patients. We present a case of a 95-year-old male with chronic multi resistant C. Diff infection in which the standard treatment failed, developing multiorgan failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome and a fatal course within a period of 96 hours after admission.
